Accelerace invests in ARTXP, a marketplace for art experiences
Accelerace invests in ARTXP, a graduate of Beyond Beta’s second cohort and the first marketplace for online and real-life entertainment that connects customers to artistic and cultural experiences, designed and hosted by artists in cities around the world.
Your soon-to-be global go-to platform for art experiences
After 5 years, 195 art experiences, 4500+ guests in attendance, and a global pandemic that caused havoc on the events and art industries, solo founder Naamah Bierlich is building on her local success in Copenhagen and planning to expand globally with ARTXP.
ARTXP is a two-sided marketplace for art experiences. It provides guests with a creative outlet, and artists such as painters, dancers, and musicians with a new stream of steady income, the support needed to execute bestselling experiences, exposure to new audiences, and a global community of like-minded artists.
“The plan now is to bring on board our first key hires, including a CTO, while launching our beta phase in Copenhagen, and scaling to additional cities in winter 2022. Within a few years we envision ARTXP as the go-to platform for art experiences, globally. Be it concerts, workshops or performances. All brought to you directly from artists in cities around the world.”
Naamah Bierlich, Founder and CEO at ARTXP
The business planning took off during an actual take off
Naamah had her head in the clouds when starting ARTXP — literally.
She wrote the launching plan for her first business, ARTNSIPS (today ARTXP), in 2016 on a flight to Denmark from the US Virgin Islands, where she lived, worked and travelled for several years prior to moving to Copenhagen. The idea with ARTNSIPS was to offer people a relaxing and informal way to experience and try their hand at different forms of art.
The day after landing, ARTNSIPS was a registered business in Denmark.
After three months of countless hours of work, no local networks, no prior knowledge of the Danish language, and with nothing but a $250 loan from a friend, Naamah launched ARTNSIPS in Copenhagen with a sold-out Painting and Champagne Experience.
Fast forward to today, it’s the same go-getting attitude that landed her the investment.
A talented solo founder
Normally, Accelerace preaches that your chances of succeeding as a startup increase dramatically if you’re multiple founders. Well, not this time:
“Naamah is one of the most talented founders I have met. Her passion, her drive, and her ability to talk to users are extraordinary. She has managed to prove great traction with her MVP of ARTXP, so we are excited about the next phases of the journey, and we are looking forward to working with her in the future.”
