Making home charging for EV owners in cities a reality
Active Next round Seed Denmark ClimatetechElby is building a network of charging stations by using the electric infrastructure of the apartment buildings. They are making it possible to charge from a plug in the wall, making it easier to set up many more chargers. The charger can be set up without any need for permits. The residents and users of the Elby app can then charge their car, and the owners of the building will be granted a part of the revenue.

Existing EV infrastructure solutions in cities can’t be scaled fast enough, mostly due to charging stands being deployed via public tenders with projects being slow, expensive, lagging in capacity, and visually intrusive.
By using the existing building grid/infrastructure that lowers the infrastructure costs and installation time and a business model, that removes all the cost (and even provide upside) for housing associations it becomes a no-brainer for them.
