Penneo wins Best Company award at Accelerace Investor Day

18 startups pitched their unique business idea at Accelerace Investor Day that gathered the entire Danish investment community for a day of great pitches, networking, deal flow, and debate. Penneo won the award for best company. Coinify and Magick tied for best presentation. Penneo won the award for best company at Accelerace Investor Day for their SaaS based electronic signature solution that makes it fast and easy to sign documents online using NemID. Penneo eliminates the need for printing and scanning or mailing signed documents. Magick, a SaaS company that has developed an innovative financial trading technology, and Coinify,  “the PayPal for Bitcoin” solution, tied for the award for best presentation. Prior to Investor Day, the startups completed the 5-month Accelerace business accelerator program which offers valuable learning experiences from camps and events and guidance from experienced business accelerators and consultants. Investor Day celebrates the Accelerace companies by selecting a noteworthy group to pitch to Danish investors. The event gathered the entire Danish investment community with more than 175 participants for a series of 18 intense, 5-minute startup pitches, networking, and deal flow. Deal flow & debate The event also included an intense debate between Business angel & serial entrepreneur Thomas Madsen-Mygdal and Vækstfonden’s Ulrik Jørring addressing if and how government should involve itself in the startup ecosystem. The two combatants where flanked by Martin Kyed from CEPOS and Business angel & serial entrepreneur Klaus Nyengaard. The debate was moderated by Accelerace CEO Peter Torstensen. The 18 participating companies at Investor Day were Advance Cleantech, Coinify, DecoSlide, Hello World Mobile, Innogie, iposen.dk, KAPPO!, Lendino, Magick, Make-it-move, Navidest Solutions, Penneo, Shevana, Siterex, Teleskin, and Yaneeda. The companies were judged on a variety of criteria including their business opportunities, team, recent performance, growth potential and competitive advantages.
