They’ve transformed music and piano practice into a fun game that helps kids learn music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and piano playing bridging the gap between a fascinating children´s game and a comprehensive learning experience in classical music.
From the very first lesson, children will start playing motivating songs while being introduced to reading notes, understanding and feeling the rhythm, and discovering musical symbols. Following a classical music curriculum and combining it with playful games, Pianini aims to expose children from the age of 4 to an exciting learning experience.

Maia Wiest, CEO
Maia is conservatory-educated in Berlin and has spent her entire life submerged in classical music. She has been composer and Musical Director for several musicals, before transitioning into teaching. She opened her own music academy for children in Shanghai, before she progressed to found Pianini.

Our investment thesis
Huge growth especially in China, where almost 20 Mio kids learn piano and children in the target age 4-7 usually are supposed to have piano classes, but everywhere in the world, parents and teachers have trouble getting kids to practice piano at home. Pianini is based around a highly developed and proven teaching method developed by the founder together with best in class technology.
